Night Jar - an original Lino Cut Print
Printed on off white Hosho paper using Caligo safewash ink in Black
This print shows a night jar bird surrounded by night flying moths all captured in a Jar. The night jar is a summer visitor to the UK & is elusive but can often be heard. When sketching the original drawing & finding out more about this bird I discovered that the collective noun for moths is a whisper which I think is just perfect!
This particular print is an open edition, meaning that I can take multiple prints from the block, the prints will not be numbered but will be signed & titled by hand
This measures 39.5cm by 28cm, with a printed area of 28cm x 17.5cm. The print is unmounted
The Print is Mounted with a soft white mount, complete with backing board in a biodegradable cello bag. All ready to go into your own frame
