Fiddleheads
It's all about the Ferns in the garden and this has taken over the workshop too!
Printed with Caligo safewash ink on Lokta or Kitakata paper
Lokta paper, is a wildcrafted, handmade artisan paper indigenous to Nepal. It is made from the bark of two of the species of the shrub Daphne & I love it its handmade appearance
This is a slow craft & almost meditative so its a process I enjoy! The first prints are carefully taken & tiny adjustments made if necessary. The prints are hand pulled, meaning that each print is made using my hands, a bamboo baren & a wooden spoon
This print is ready mounted with an ivory mount, includes a backing board inside a biodegradable cello bag, ready for your own choice of frame.
Exterior of mount approximately 30.5cm x 25.5cm with an internal aperture of approximately 20cm x 15.2cm
